Shawls of Support

Lifeline of Ohio’s Shawls of Support program provides shawls to grieving families at the time of their loss as a way of showing support, comfort and compassion. Each link of yarn is lovingly crafted to give comfort to those in their grief.

How I can help?

The Shawls of Support Program is seeking rectangle or triangle shaped shawls that can be given to our donor families. Shawls are presented to families whose loved one has become an organ, eye and tissue donor and represents a warm hug of support during a very difficult time.

Shawl Specifics


  • Rectangle: 24-26” wide by 60” long
  • Triangle: no smaller than 60” wide.

The shawls don’t have to be these exact measurements, however we ask that they are close to these general dimensions.


While we love all colors, we know that softer, more muted colors provide extra comfort during a family’s most difficult moments.
