Forever Grateful Twenty years ago - I was a father raising a family, a professional engineer pursuing my career when I was diagnosed with a liver disease. This was a surprise because I had no symptoms at the time. What really shocked me was that there was no cure; my only salvation would be a liver transplant.

Roman’s Rainbow Roman was seven-days old when he had his first open heart surgery – unfortunately he was not strong enough to sustain the other two. His heart was getting weaker every day and he was running out of time. At this point transplantation was our only option to save Roman’s life.

I Dash for Dad! My father, Jim, had a double lung transplant in October 2012. He went from having an active lifestyle with zero issues to the severe, sudden onset of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis. The only treatment for pulmonary fibrosis is a lung transplant.
