A Gift from my Mom My life of thirty-five years can be described by one word: fortunate. I have parents who love me, two older brothers who care about me, friends who visit, and a beautiful fiancee. Like I said, I am very fortunate. The one unfortunate aspect of my life is my health.

A Family Story In September 1998, I got a new job, which required a drug test. I passed, but the technician asked me if I had kidney problems. I couldn’t believe what I was hearing! The tech suggested I see a physician because the protein in my urine was high.
