John B. “John John” Mullins IV
John B. “John John” Mullins IV, Columbus, OH. Died June 18, 2019. John John saved the lives of five people through organ donation and enhanced countless other lives through tissue, heart valve and vein donation. He gave sight to two through cornea donation and was able to donate his ribs to a special research project for vehicle child safety restraints that will help prevent injuries and save countless children’s lives.
John John was a three-sport athlete excelling in football, basketball and baseball. He also competed in local chess tournaments and enjoyed playing the trumpet in his school’s concert band. John was in his third year as a player on the North Columbus Sports (NCS) Comets travel baseball team when he suffered a life-ending aneurysm while at bat.
His dream was to become a business owner and give back to the community. He will be remembered for his smile and countless acts of kindness, respect and gratitude for those who were fortunate enough to have met him.
