Erik Landis

Rushville, OH. Died December 12, 2007.  Erik saved the lives of two people through organ donation.

Erik was a happy, well-liked teenager who was also somewhat of an “old soul.” It was like he lived all his years during the brief 14 years he was with us. He was fond of many hobbies and activities, including playing and watching sports (especially NASCAR, Cleveland Browns and Columbus Blue Jackets), building Legos, sketching cars, playing trumpet and singing in his school choir. Reading was a favorite pastime; he was often found reading the newspaper or a history book at the kitchen table while eating breakfast.

Erik knew the importance of relationships and loved his family, friends, and his Lord Jesus Christ with all his heart. Erik was always helping others and making people laugh. He had the best smile! His spirit of generosity lives on in the two recipients—one who received both his heart and lungs together and one who received his liver.
