Austin Blake

Austin passed on November 13th, 2023 and gave his kidneys, liver, corneas and tissue. His lungs went to OSU for research.

He was a huge fan of music. It played a large part in his life on many levels and meant so much to him, just as did me and our two daughters. He loved the three of us so much, we were his whole world.

We were together 37 years ago and have known each other since we were 5. We married on July 11, and we wrote it in the sand and took that picture as well as ended all our notes with it, meaning, I love you. I added a picture of our wedding cake topper. I still have it. He was going to retire from Nickles Bakery in about 5 years. He was only 57.

He also enjoyed baseball, and we all went to a game every year to participate in some family traditions.

He loved our dogs, especially Moose and Stanley. We just got Stanley, the chocolate lab, two years ago, and now, with Austin gone, I feel like he watches me and gives me love and protection. He and Austin loved each other.

He worked so hard all of his life. He was one of the good ones. 😔 I love the quote “Heaven is lucky to have him, so was I.”
