Heroes of Healing Quilt
Lifeline of Ohio’s thirteenth quilt, “Heroes of Healing,” features 20 heroes of donation. Read below to see what family members had to say about their loved one.
“Everything was such a blur, but we learned Josie registered at age 16 to be an organ, eye and tissue donor and that allowed everything to fall into perspective. Josie spent her life giving of herself to others, so it was fitting that she did so even in her death.”
“Savannah loved the color purple. Her angelic demeanor radiated to others, even in her death. She gave the Gift of Life to another individual. She touched so many in her short 21/2 years and was loved and adored.”
“He loved teaching, sports, and coaching…but most of all he adored being a dad to our daughter, Whitney. Although he has missed so many memorable events in our lives, we take great comfort in knowing he made an impact on those he was able to help through his donation to others.”
“Joe was a quiet and very loving boy. He loved animals and his desire was to be a comic artist. To achieve his dream he went to the Columbus College of Art & Design – CCAD and graduated in 2012 with his Bachelors of Fine Arts degree.”
