My Inspiration
I believe everyone has at least one person in their life who has influenced and inspired them to make a difference. In my case, one such person was my daughter, Erika.
Seeing the Power of Donation
Twenty years ago, I knew I’d need a cornea transplant. I was diagnosed with Fuchs dystrophy, a rare genetic condition that led to the degradation of my corneas.
A Family Affair
I first got sick in the spring of 1992 when I was in the 7th grade. I thought it might be the flu, but as I continued to play lacrosse, I became more and more fatigued. Only a week later the doctors told my family I might have only 24-hours to live. Thankfully, that’s when my second chance came.
Tuesday’s Tale: Unexpected Blessing
In February of 2007 I gave birth to my first child, a beautiful and healthy baby boy. It was the most wonderful day of my life. Seven short weeks after my son Jack was born, my life changed, again.
Tuesday’s Tale: New Year, New Lease on Life
Jean Rosile received the ultimate Christmas gift a little early this year. She had a heart transplant on Oct. 8, 2010 thanks to the generosity of a donor. This holiday season, she will celebrate her second chance and start the New Year with a new lease on life
Tuesday’s Tale – A New Purpose
I never thought my dad’s death would influence the career path I took in college, the opportunities I received and ultimately where I would end up working. Thanks to my dad, five people received the “Gift of Life” - and I ended up with a purpose.
