For more than 20 years, April has been designated as National Donate Life Month (DLM) to:
- help raise awareness of organ, eye and tissue donation
- encourage people to register their donation decision
- honor those who have saved and healed lives through the gift of donation
Lifeline of Ohio is pleased to support our hospital and community partners in their DLM celebrations and commemorations.
Reach out to Lifeline of Ohio staff, who will be happy to help you in your planning.
Important DLM Dates:
- Donate Life Living Donor Day is Wednesday, April 1, 2026
- Blue & Green Spirit Week starts April 4, 2026

2026 Theme - Leave a Legacy
This year’s theme uses trees as a symbol of life and connection.
Just like trees grow and support each other in a forest, donation connects people – donors, recipients and their families. Like a tree that grows and stands for generations, a donor’s gift leaves a lasting legacy of hope and life.
A person’s decision to be an organ, eye and tissue donor gives hope to the 100,000 people on the national organ transplant waiting list who are waiting for a second chance at life.
