The DEI Committee is excited about another way to connect and grow together with Tasty Traditions—a potluck-style opportunity for staff to share a part of their culture through food. Culture includes your past and present experiences, your customs connections and traditions. And what better way to connect with, learn about and gain a deeper understanding of each other than through food?

When and where is this happening? December 14, 2022 at 11:30 a.m. in the Lifeline of Ohio Atrium (after December Town Hall)

What type of food can I bring? Whatever you want!

How do I participate? Register here and tell us: 1.) What you’d like to bring; 2.) A brief sentence or two about what this food item means to you or why you love it. We will place your story on a card to accompany your food.

Also, we’ll be putting together a Spotify playlist for the event. Please let Jessica Williams know if you have song suggestions.

When and where should I drop off my food? Drop off your food in the Atrium between 9:30 and 10:00 a.m. on December 14.

How much should I prepare? It’s a tasting—when it’s gone, it’s gone.

What if I don’t cook? No judgment. Store-bought food is welcome.

May I participate if I don’t contribute? Absolutely! Your tasting is your contribution.

Will this be my lunch? No, it’s a tasting. Think grocery store sampling.

Do we need to have a balanced number of items? No, it is whatever you want to share. If we have all desserts and two side dishes, it tells us we love sweets!

I’m bringing something that requires it to be kept warm. What do I do? You’re responsible for supplying your own crock pots, chafing dishes or hot plates to keep things warm.

I’m bringing something that requires refrigeration. What do I do? You can store things in the 1st floor kitchen refrigerator and bring them out before 10:00 a.m. Please keep in mind that refrigerator space will be limited.

Will Lifeline of Ohio supply plates, napkins and utensils for employees to sample the food? Yes, we will!
