Lifeline of Ohio Employee Spotlight!
Meet Joel! Joel is one of our Donation Program Coordinators at Lifeline of Ohio. In his role, he provides education to nurses, doctors and hospital leadership about the donation process and what their role entails as our partner in organ, eye and tissue donation. This helps to optimize the opportunity for donation in our community hospitals.
When asked why he is passionate about organ, eye and tissue donation, Joel said, “I’m passionate about organ, eye, and tissue donation because I have two recipients in my immediate family. My wife had a double lung transplant more than 18 years ago and my oldest daughter had a piece of bone from a donor placed in her foot last year. I want other people to get that second chance at life and better health. I may not see the individuals that receive organs that Lifeline of Ohio recovers but I know they are out there, and I know that we are making a huge impact on their lives.”
