Meet Misti Matthews! Misti is the Office and Building Administrator at Lifeline of Ohio, supporting the work of our Finance team and assisting other departments as needed to ensure the office is running smoothly. You’ve probably seen her smiling face at our front desk!

Why are you passionate about organ, eye and tissue donation?

My mother had a cornea transplant in both eyes while I was in high school. My father died while waiting for a heart transplant.

Why do you choose to work at Lifeline of Ohio?

I’ve been in the healthcare industry for more than 15 years and it’s amazing to help people. My last job I was a surgical technician for Lasik surgery. Being able to give people sight was rewarding! At Lifeline of Ohio, we’re saving lives and helping enhance the quality of life for so many.

What is your favorite part of your job?

I like seeing all the intricate pieces to the puzzle of life. I’ve seen the initial notification of a potential donor. I’ve watched the recovery team prepare. I’ve met with the recipients and heard their heartfelt stories and how grateful they are for their second chance at life.

What are some of your interests and hobbies?

I enjoy cooking, driving and riding quads, and spending time with family and friends. I also council people PRN.
