Attention Buckeyes: We Need Your Help to Beat Michigan!
The Buckeye Wolverine Challenge is winding down and we need your help, Ohio!
The Buckeye Wolverine Challenge for Life is a head-to-head competition between Ohio State and “that team up north” to register the most organ and tissue donors before Thanksgiving. We’re currently trailing Michigan 89,502 to 32,315 in registering new donors. You can help us win!
Here’s how you can help us in registering for life:
- Tell your friends, family and coworkers to register as an organ, eye and tissue donor today!
- Hang up posters provided by Lifeline of Ohio about the Buckeye – Wolverine Challenge for Life
- Submit a newsletter article provided by Lifeline of Ohio to your worksite
Cornea recipient and proud Buckeye Chris Nance knows the power registered organ donors can have because he received the healing gift of a cornea transplant. Thanks to his tissue donor, Chris’s eyesight was improved, and he hopes this friendly competition helps new Ohioans register as organ donors.
“I grew up a Buckeye Fan, went to school at The Ohio State University, and was even fortunate enough to begin my career with Ohio State,” Chris said.
“Being a Buckeye has always been in my blood, but none of this would have been possible without the gift of sight from my donor.”
Chris is thankful for his tissue donor this Thanksgiving season and hopes you consider making the generous decision to register as an organ, eye and tissue donor today. For more information on the campaign, click here.
