Lifeline of Ohio Celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month

Lifeline of Ohio is kicking off Hispanic Heritage Month tonight with the Columbus Crew!

Hispanic Heritage Month, which runs from Sept. 15 – Oct. 15, jointly commemorates the independence of Cost Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and Nicaragua, all observed on Sept. 15, as well as Mexico and Chile, both countries that gained independence in September. The month is observed through celebrations of Hispanic culture, contribution and heritage across the country.

The Columbus Crew is marking the occasion with their Hispanic Heritage Night event, featuring authentic cuisine, music, piñatas for the kids and a flag show. Lifeline of Ohio will join in the festivities by featuring Columbus Crew midfielder, Bernardo Añor, at the Donate Life booth before the game to sign autographs and meet fans!

Ticket holders can stop by the Donate Life booth on Crew Kicker Plaza between 6:15 p.m. and 7:15 p.m. to meet Añor, a tissue transplant recipient, before the Crew takes on Chivas USA!

You can celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month by joining us tonight at Crew stadium and choosing to leave a lasting legacy as an organ and tissue donor. Right now more than 115,000 people in the U.S., including more than 21,000 Hispanics, are waiting on life-saving organ transplants. Thousands more await the healing gift of tissue.

Celebrate life – and Hispanic Heritage Month – and register as an organ and tissue donor today!
