Dr. David Dickson, OD, graduated from Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University with his degree in optometry in 1976. Dr. Dickson worked in an ophthalmology practice and gained valuable medical experience during this time. He then went on to provide eye care in a private practice setting before joining Clarkson Eyecare.
Dr. Dickson has been involved with medical eye care and received his license to practice the treatment and management of ocular disease in 1992. He also was on the board of the Ohio Optometric Association for 8 years before becoming the second youngest president in Ohio history. He has been on numerous state and national committees to expand the professional role optometry plays in the health care arena.
Lesly Gatton, MS, CTBS, Solvita
Lesly Gatton is a Recovery Partner Director at Solvita. Prior to this role, she served as the National Trainer for tissue recovery. She is a Certified Tissue Banking Specialist and has more than 15 years of experience in tissue banking.
Lesly earned her Master of Science degrees in Physiology and Biophysics from the University of Louisville School Of Medicine and attended Wake Forest University for her undergraduate education.
She is committed to improving the quality of tissue recoveries and maximizing tissue donors’ gifts to improve and save the lives of recipients.
Maria Lanane, BSN, RN, C-EFM, OhioHealth Berger Hospital
Maria Lanane, BSN, RN, C-EFM, is a Women’s Health Clinical Nurse Educator and Staff Nurse at OhioHealth Berger Hospital Maternity. She’s been a registered nurse for 15 years, with the last 8 years specializing in Women’s Health.
She is a placenta donation advocate and became a placenta donation graft recipient in 2023 after complications with a bilateral mastectomy and reconstruction. She’s looking forward to sharing her story at the symposium.
