Donor Family Reception
Every day at Lifeline of Ohio, we honor those who gave the generous Gift of Life and hope through organ and tissue donation. The Donor Family Reception is an opportunity for us to show our gratitude for the unselfish decisions made by these heroes and their families. We set aside a special time each year to thank you and our heroes of donation. These selfless acts have healed countless individuals through the gifts of organ, eye, and tissue transplants. We invite you and your family to join us in honoring you and your loved one as heroes of donation at this reception.
Tree Lighting Ceremony
This donor family event features tree decorating, ornament creation, caroling and hot cocoa and cookies to honor the selfless donors who saved and healed lives. Jenny Hoover, Lifeline of Ohio bereavement services coordinator, says acknowledging each donor through an ornament helps donor families grieve and heal during the difficult holiday season. The event typically takes place the first week in December. Click here to learn more.
Rose Dedication Ceremony
Held annually in December, Lifeline of Ohio honors pediatric donors by dedicating a rose in their name on the Donate Life Float in the Rose Parade in Pasadena, California. We invite family members to join us at our Rose Dedication. This is a special evening devoted only to our donor families who have a lost a child (under the age of 21 years) within the past year.
