Irish Organizations Honor Lifeline of Ohio

IMG_8340On March 11, Lifeline of Ohio was awarded $1,000 by the Ancient Order of Hibernians, Division 2 and the Shamrock Club of Columbus during Proclamation Day – a day in which the City of Columbus proclaims March 17th as St. Patrick’s Day.

Six Irish organizations donated money to their charity of choice and we were honored to receive donations from two of the groups:

• The Ancient Order of Hibernians (AOH), Division 2 is an Irish Catholic National Organization and has two divisions in Central Ohio. Donate Life Ambassador Ricky Lovell, AOH County Board, nominated Lifeline of Ohio in his wife’s name. Maureen received a life-saving liver transplant July 2, 2014.

• The Shamrock Club of Columbus is a not-for-profit social organization that organizes and sponsors the annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Columbus. Donor grandfather and Irishman of the Year, James Graham nominated Lifeline of Ohio in honor of his grandson, Cohan, who was a hero of donation on July 21, 2015.

We appreciate the gentlemen and organizations that named us as recipients, and look forward to supporting the building of our new Donor Memorial with their generous contributions! Sláinte
