Did you know that Lifeline of Ohio is at every Columbus Crew home game? We set up a booth on Crew Kicker Plaza before each game to promote our Heroes on and Off the Field campaign. At our booth, we celebrate life with corn hole, a photo booth, fun giveaways and information to register new donors.
As you pass by booth 435 at the 10TV Health and Fitness Expo Aug. 18 and 19, you will likely hear shouts of excitement, bells ringing and see lots of smiles. Our goal is to “celebrate life” at our booth, and we hope our idea will be contagious!
Every year, Aug. 1 marks National Minority Donor Awareness Day, beginning a week-long observance to promote organ and tissue donation. Created in 1996 by then-President Clinton, the nationwide effort is intended to inspire people from all ethnic groups to become organ and tissue donors and discuss that decision with their families.
