In 1999, my parents and I were faced with a similar situation after my brother was in a motorcycle accident. My brother was an eagle scout and active in his fraternity which had chosen “donate life” as its philanthropy. His drivers license and many service centered choices in his life made it obvious to us, what we should do. I hope other people find the strength you and our family did to follow through with their loved one’s wishes. We have also been in contact with the recipients. It is therapeutic. Thank you for sharing your story.,

This is beautiful Marsha. I miss Kasey so much and still think about her everyday. I love you and your family more than words can express. Kasey will be forever in our hearts.

That is a beautiful story. We think of Kasey everyday and today saw an article in the Target store about the toy drive. Your story is full of courage Marsha. Megan became an organ donor on her learner’s permit partly because we could not help but think of Kasey on that day..

I’m a mom of 2 daughters who received heart transplants at age 6 and are now teens. I admire your decision to donate life. Without generous people like you in the world, my daughters wouldn’t have received the gift of life.
